Easter Monday- ELearning Day

As a reminder, we will have an ELearning day next Monday, April 5. This is a makeup day from our inclement weather day in February. Information about this day is below.

~ This will be an asynchronous learning day. This means there will be no requirements for students to login LIVE to their classes.
~ Teachers will have all assignments posted no later than 9:00am.
~ Teachers are available for assistance via email and Jupiter from 9:00-3:00.
~ We will not be having a large chromebook check-out as we did for our extended remote learning period earlier this year.
~ We understand that some students may have limited access to technology on this day. Therefore, students will have an additional 48 hours to complete all assignments. All assignments are due no later than Wednesday, April 7 at 3:00pm.
~ If your child needs to come to school early, or stay after school on Tuesday or Wednesday to complete assignments, please let your child's teacher or the office know, and we can make those arrangements.
~ In order for students to be marked present for Monday, April 5, they must have ALL work completed by the due date mentioned above. If work is not completed on time, the student will be marked absent for the day.

If you have any questions about our upcoming asynchronous learning day, please contact your child's teacher. Thank you!

Grand Adult Week

Next week, we will honor our Grand Adults through a virtual experience! For those families who turned in RSVP forms, the videos created will go directly to our special adults. Below is an outline of what Grand Adults will be receiving:

Tuesday: #WhyHolyName video and Catholic Schools Week video

Wednesday: individual class videos

Thursday: YouTube link for the school Mass livestream (this will be recorded and can be watched at a later time)

Friday: Thank you video

Each day the videos will also be sent to parents via Jupiter so they can be passed along to any Grand Adults who may not have been included on the RSVP form.

Indiana's Tax Credit Scholarship

Indiana's Tax Credit Scholarship program was created in 2009 as a way to give families who meet income guidelines an opportunity to send their child to a participating private school. Through the generosity of Hoosiers, private donations are given as scholarships so students may attend a private school that may not have been an option to them otherwise.

The Institute for Quality Education (IQE) is the largest of six state-approved scholarship granting organizations (SGOs) in Indiana. Since the beginning of this program, SGOs have awarded over $45 million dollars in scholarships to more than 35,000 Hoosier students in partnership with more than 300 private schools statewide.

Without these important Tax Credit Scholarships, we have several families that would be unable to choose Holy Name for their children's education. This year we were blessed with the ability to award over $23,000 in scholarships to our Holy Name students. This is impossible without generous donors like you!

Individuals or businesses that donate to the SGO receive tax credits equal to 50% of the amount donated. Donate before the end of 2020 to receive this credit!
