Welcome Message from Principal Richardson
Hello Bobcat Family!
This has been one of the best first weeks of school for me! I know it was a great first week for students and our staff as well. Teachers spent time building community in each classroom, procedures and processes were practiced and in place (Shark Bait….hoo ha ha). Below are just a few of the comments I’ve heard from teachers and staff this week:
– “This week far exceeded my expectations. I love it here!”
– “These are amazing students. What a blessing they are!”
– “I’m having so much fun with my students. They are so wonderful!”
– “The upbeat energy and positivity in the school is great!”
As always, the first week or two of school can be stressful. Whether it’s getting acclimated to school and teachers, connecting with friends, or readjusting sleep schedules, there is a lot going on. Please take the time to check in with your student to see how they’re doing.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, feedback or celebrations.
Go Bobcats!

Message From Nurse Gabbie
When your child is ill, please contact the school by sending an email to doesattendance@celinaisd.com to let us know he or she won’t be attending school that day.
IF YOUR CHILD HAS A FEVER OVER 100 DEGREES, HE OR SHE MUST STAY OUT OF SCHOOL UNTIL FEVER FREE FOR 24 HOURS WITHOUT FEVER-REDUCING MEDICATIONS. STUDENTS WHO TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID ARE REQUIRED TO QUARANTINE FOR 5 DAYS FROM THE START OF SYMPTOMS OR FROM THE POSITIVE RESULTS DATE.
IN ADDITION, STUDENTS WITH VOMITING OR DIARRHEAL ILLNESSES MUST STAY HOME UNTIL THEY ARE DIARRHEA/VOMIT FREE WITHOUT MEDICATIONS FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS.
If a student is absent or sent home by the nurse with any of the above conditions, and returns to school before the 24 hours is up, parents will be called to pick up their child.
From the Counselor's Corner
Each month, our students will be studying about a specific character trait. In the weekly newsletter, you will find information on the character trait for the month, the definition we are using in class, and family conversation starters and activities. We hope you will join us at home in learning about our character traits this year! This month we’re talking about the character trait of Citizenship. The definition we are using in class is:
