Weekly Knight News
Week of 1-23-17
How are you teaching?
If your own child was in your classroom, would you like how the teacher is treating the students? Would you like the attitude, energy, and passion the teacher is teaching with everyday? As a parent, are the teachers lessons engaging enough to capture your child's attention?
Continue to push yourself as an educator and always ask yourself: if my child was in my classroom would I be happy as a parent how they were being taught and cared for?
Parent Teacher Conferences
We will be handing out progress reports that evening to parents that come. Please talk with your team about inviting parents you wish to speak with to help their students be more successful.
Hallway Supervision
Collaboration
- Upcoming units and how students will show mastery.
- Share ideas on formative assessments.
- Discuss ways you are teaching the same content but how you are differentiating for students to meet their needs.
Athletics
ENMS Athletics!
It’s a great time of year…. the weather is turning out to be awesome! It’s 60 degrees out and finally sunshine! Just don’t look at the next week… enjoy the sunshine today! In regards to ENMS Athletics, the Girls basketball 8th graders are continuing to heat up the court by taking the victory over Maple Creek Thursday night in what ended up being a solid victory and will lead the emotion and momentum heading into the next rounds of the NHMLC tournament! The Lady knights will be taking on Indian Springs Monday night at home in the quarter finals of the bracket. With a win, the girls would play at home again on Wednesday versus a team TBA! Finals would be the following Monday with the South bracket hosting the game. We look forward to watching the knights in action! Please come out to support the knights in action.
This winter showed a great improvement of all the teams this year. This last week was the ending of the season for the 7th and 8th grade gold boys team, the 7th and 8th grade blue teams and the 7th grade girls squad. We appreciate the time and commitment of all the athletes and coaches throughout the season! There was definite improvement through skills and fundamentals of the players. We are proud to call them all Knights!
This week also started the mid-season sports of wrestling and swim/dive! The knight wrestlers started their action Saturday, but we’re still waiting for results to come in, but the knights have been practicing hard since the first of January. The knights will be in full action starting next week on the 30th. The swim and dive teams have begun their seasonal workouts with official practice starting in February! The knights look to hit the pool starting February 16!
We’d also like to thank all the behind the scene teams, groups and people to make the seasons special. First is to the cheerleaders! They have been outstanding this year and the gym is extra loud during the games. The dance performances were outstanding and we look forward to the cheer team being at the girls tournament games this upcoming week. We also appreciate the work and effort of Coach Irons, the ENMS custodial staff and others who help get things organized, set up and cleaned up on game days! We don’t want to leave anyone out, but we appreciate all the efforts from everyone involved in ENMS athletics and making things great for the student athletes.
We hope to see you this week at the girls basketball games!
