Transportation Information
You should have received an email from our transportation department this week.
If your child's drop off location is incorrect, it is very important you call the office as soon as possible at (847) 838-8101. You may leave a voicemail if you are calling outside of regular business hours.
* Please note that our dismissal times and when your child arrives home may be delayed as we get the first couple of weeks under our belts.
* If there are any changes to transportation for your child for a particular day (you are picking them up instead of them riding the bus), please let the office know as soon as possible so we can make sure your child goes to the correct location at the end of the day.
Important Attendance Information
If your child will be absent for either in-person or remote instruction for any reason, you must call them in to our Attendance Line (847) 838- 8181.
Please contact the office or send a note if your child will be leaving early or will have a change to their planned transportation for the day.
Arrival/Student Drop-Off
Please be mindful not to block any roadways that will prevent our buses from entering or leaving.
Student drop-off in the morning will begin at 8:20 am.
NO STUDENTS SHOULD EXIT THEIR VEHICLE BEFORE A STAFF MEMBER COMES TO LET YOUR CHILD OUT OF THE CAR
A staff member will come to your car to ensure that your child has the SELF-CERTIFICATION slip filled out and with them (for the first day you will be provided with a digital copy of that slip to either print and fill, or you will need to handwrite the same information on a piece of paper). More information on certification slips will be listed below
Supervisors will be checking every child to make sure they have a signed certification ticket.
Please adhere to all stop signs in the parking lot and at the entrance from Tiffany Farms.
We are expecting longer lines due to a larger number of students being dropped off.
Dismissal/Student Pick-Up
Please be mindful not to block any roadways that will prevent our buses from entering or leaving.
For the first day of picking your child up, please bring a sign with you that indicates your child's first and last name in large letters.
If your child is a regular parent pick-up, you will receive a laminated sign you can use each day for the rest of the school year.
Please make sure to have this sign visible until your child is in your car.
Students will not be released prior to 3:20 pm. It is advised that you DO NOT enter the parking lot area any earlier than 3:00pm.
We are expecting longer wait times due to a larger number of students being picked up.
Please send your child with a refillable water bottle everyday!
All people in the building must be wearing a mask at all times!
SELF-CERTIFICATION SLIPS
In-person students will be bringing home a pad of self-certification slips for you to use. These slips must be filled out EVERY DAY prior to your child arriving, whether they are arriving via bus, car or walking. These slips will be collected EVERY DAY.
For the first day of in-person attendance, families will need to either PRINT and FILL OUT the slip shown and linked below - OR - write on a piece of paper the same information that is contained on the slip to turn in.
Slips must be signed by a parent or guardian EVERY DAY in order for students to attend.
We are doing this for the safety of all of our students, families, and staff. We appreciate your partnership in helping to ensure the safety of our Petty community and all its members.

Information from the D34 Tech Department
Flipgrid - Two weeks ago, the district learned of a security concern on the platform Flipgrid. At that time, Flipgrid was removed from all devices and teachers were asked to cease from using the platform until further notice. Flipgrid has since released a statement addressing their continued commitment to trust and safety of their platform. To read the article, please click here. The district has re-pushed the app to iPads and is comfortable with staff and students utilizing the application.
