G-R-O-V-E-L! That 's the final winning word spelled by fourth-grader Connor Klebek in the twelfth round on last Thursday's Linden School-wide Spelling Bee. Connor Klebek was one of 13 Linden students who studied over the winter break to prepare for the bee, and boy were they prepared. Each speller did an amazing job in approaching the microphone and spelling before an audience of over 200. It wasn't until after the fourth round that spellers finally started to be challenged with the given word.

Connor will represent Linden at the regional bee on Saturday, 9:30 A.M., at Pennridge Central Middle School, 144 East Walnut Street, Silverdale, PA. Linden spectators are invited to cheer him on!

Congratulations to Our Winner!

Since 2012, CB Cares Educational Foundation has awarded more than $125,000 in innovative learning grants. As Central Bucks School District’s community partner, CB Cares Educational Foundation provides Innovative Learning Grants (ILGs) to encourage teachers to pilot new ideas and bring to life the ideas of these visionary educators that wouldn’t be possible within the district’s regular budget students in the arts, science, technology, engineering, math, leadership, and wellness.

They awarded my class a grant of over $500 to fund an initiative to further implement the classroom use of iPads. The money will be spent on keyboards and mice to extend how students use the technology. We are more than grateful for this and everything they do.

Girl Leadership Book Club
