Keeping Elliott teachers in the KNOW!
Wow!
- The FUN RUN was AWESOME!
- I've heard great compliments from teachers at other schools about students that come to them from Elliott!
- Amy Mestayer had other teachers score some of her students writing to compare expectations. Great idea!
- Second Grade is sharing students across the grade level during guided reading to meet their students needs. Another bonus is each teacher has less groups to plan a guided reading lesson for.

STAAR Analysis Tools
Attached is the link for amazing STAAR Resources that Region 10 has just compiled. Here are a couple of resources I would like to highlight:
- Reading and Writing Test Analysis - This resources takes each STAAR test question and provides the correct answer with an explanation of why it's the correct answer. It also takes the incorrect answers and explains why students may have chosen this answer. This is a powerful resource worth sharing with all of your teachers.
- Test Analysis Study Guide - This is the other new resource that is a professional learning structure for your teachers to analyze test question. This resources provides specific guiding questions and specific examples to structure collaborative, conversations for teachers.
- Reading and Writing Question Stems - The last resource is the STAAR STEM Resource which now includes how the TEKS were assessed for 2013, 2014, and 2015.
