From The Principal's Desk

Hi Wildcat Families! We are halfway through the first quarter and if your student is in the upper grades, progress reports have been sent home. Please watch for them. This is a good time to check with your child and their teacher if you have concerns about how they are doing academically and behaviorally at school. First quarter ends on October 20th, and report cards will be sent home the week after that.

Fall Sports are under way with Cross Country and Flag Football off and running, their first game and cross country meet to happen in the next few weeks. Please plan to come out and cheer them on. Cheer tryouts are scheduled for the first week in October for students in grades 5th-8th. If your student is interested, please make sure they have a physical on file in the office.

Our teachers are busy planning activities in all of our classrooms, 8th graders have been practicing for their annual Lip Sync program later this month, 4th/5th grade will head to hike the Bizz Johnson trail soon and a variety of grades will take the traditional Wemple’s Pumpkin Patch field trip in October. We are planning two exciting events for the Janesville community- a Community Outreach and Wellness Night for Oct. 19th, and the annual Fall Carnival on Oct. 28th. It’s a great day to be a Wildcat!
