Camp David Accords

Camp David Accords was a peace treaty signed by President Jimmy Carter, Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin. The Treaty was between Egypt and Israel, its purpose was to get Israel to withdraw from the Sinai Peninsula that Egypt wanted and in return Egypt would recognize Israels right to exist. The treaty gave Israel three years to withdraw from the Sinai Peninsula be completed. After three months of negotiating with Egypt and Israel the treaty was signed on September 17, 1978 in Washington Dc. calling it Camp David Accords because of the place the negotiating took place at the presidential getaway.
