Mr. Posick's Friday email

May 6, 2016

It's May already?

Seriously, where has the school year gone? We are heading into the home stretch and need to make sure that we make the days count instead of counting the days until we're done. We still have lots of learning to do, lots of books to read, lots of writing to do, lots of problems to solve. You get the idea. Please find a moment to talk to your child about what's happening in school. If they say nothing, check out our Twitter or Facebook accounts for pictures of the great things going on in school. The links to those accounts are at the bottom of this smore. Quite frankly, the answer to what did you do in school today is never going to be nothing.

Staff Appreciation Week, PTO style

Next week, the PTO is organizing three great days for our staff. Monday is a boost of energy, Wednesday is lunch, and Friday is desserts. Please check the email I sent out earlier this week for the ways you can help out the PTO with this wonderful recognition of our staff.

Upcoming cool things!

There are some great upcoming activities for all of you to participate in.

PTO meeting on May 11th at 2:30 in the Primary School.

Culver's Night on May 18th from 4:00-8:00

We hope to see you there!

8th grade graduation is upcoming!

I know that it's hard to believe, but our 8th grade graduation isn't far away. Our 8th graders will be graduating on Thursday, June 9th. At this time, I'm looking for interested families to help out to prepare for the day.

8th grade families- Please email me if you are interested in being a part of the decorating committee. Our first meeting date is Monday, May 9th at 7:00 in the library.

7th grade families- Please email me if you are interested in being a part of the reception committee. I'll be setting up a meeting date after I have a list of names.

Thanks in advance for your consideration.
