7 Mindsets

This year, WJES is continuing to embrace our PBIS Mindset. We are continuing to use the PBIS Rewards App which allows faculty members to reward students for being Respectful, Responsible and Safe at WJES. The students earn points through the app and are able to shop the PBIS cart or save it for our quarterly WOW event. We are excited to pair our PBIS with our 7 Mindset Curriculum.

Our Mindset for this month is 100% Accountable. 100% Accountable teaches us the importance of being responsible for our own happiness and success. 100% Accountable teaches us that we are not a victim of our past, that our future is not predetermined, and that our lives are what we choose them to be from this moment and each moment moving forward. In this mindset, we help students focus on recognizing fears and excuses. This mindset allows us to break down barriers and take responsibility for our thoughts and actions. It also allows us to free our mind and focus our energy to take the critical steps towards our goals.

Below is the link for the parent newsletter for the current Mindset - 100% Accountable. At the bottom of the second page are cool activities that you can do with your children.

School Hours

School hours are 7:40 AM - 2:25 PM. The school doors open at 7:10 AM each day. Students are released to their homeroom class at 7:25 AM. Any student arriving after 7:40 AM is tardy and will need to report to the office accompanied by a parent/guardian to sign in and get a tardy permit before going to class. Regular and punctual attendance is essential if students are to receive the maximum benefits from the instructional program.
