Message from Ms. Carrera:

Starting Monday, students are not allowed to have parents walk them in, and all students will be required to enter through the side door by the Kindergarten/First Grade wing. At 8:00 AM, the grade level teachers will come to the cafeteria to pick up the students and those arriving after that time will walk through the main doors and straight to class until 8:15 AM. As always, there will be staff to help get the kids to their classrooms.

Don’t forget that snack during the morning time MUST be a healthy snack – this is per state guidelines. Chips and cookies are not considered to be a healthy snack. If you have a question about the snack, please email your student’s teacher.

Tardies will be counted starting on Wednesday, August 22nd. The 8:15 AM bell is the “tardy” bell. If you are driving into the parking lot at 8:15 AM your child is tardy! Please work with us on this and get your child to school on time – our school doors open at 7:00 AM, so there is no reason to be late to school. I am looking forward to a great year – and the enthusiasm and excitement for a new year never go away!

Best regards,

Priscila Carrera
