We are FAMILY!

I've told people around the district that OW really has a family feel on campus. I experienced it firsthand this week with the outpouring of support for our family member in need. Your willingness to help has been amazing. Thank you for rallying this week! I am proud to be a Wildcat!

Device Accountability

Unfortunately, we've had a number of iPads come up missing this year. Some have been recovered, and some have not. Technology will be coming over in the very near future to do a full inventory of all of our devices. I am not sure when this will happen, but I will let you all know when I have more specifics.

If using devices, be sure to have a system in place that accounts for each device at the beginning and end of each period. In addition, when not in use they need to be locked away. Numbering all devices and checking them out and in each period, not only prevents their theft but also accounts for any misuse of the devices per student.

Preferred Subs

Be sure that you are taking the time to set up your preferred sub list in AESOP. In addition, it is very helpful to leave feedback, positive or negative, in AESOP for subs as well.

We cannot prevent a sub from coming to our campus if we do not have documentation. If there is a problem, let us know.

Pride Awards

If you haven't nominated your students for PRIDE Awards yet, please do so by clicking the link below. When selecting students, make sure that you are selecting students who demonstrate the characteristics of PRIDE consistently.

Walk-Through Questions

As you receive your walk-throughs, be sure to respond and answer any questions that are left. It is very beneficial for us to have this dialogue. In addition, CO is paying close attention to our WTs this year and would really like to see us having dialogue.

Game Day Parking

GDP earned $2,360 this past weekend in just over 3 hours. Orchestra will take home 25% for their efforts this weekend. Our PTO will distribute the rest to the campus throughout the year.

Rocco's Safety Corner

All exterior doors have been re-keyed to accept the xxxx key.

The new emergency P.A. Buttons are very sensitive and I myself have inadvertently activated them with the brush of a shoulder or elbow. These two inexpensive ideas shown below came from Mr. Stockberger & Ms. Kendall. I applaud their frugal ingenuity.

Food for Thought

Bully, a misused word from the Victoria Advocate.

The first person to respond with the correct answers for the two questions below will receive a surprise from the front office,

Q1: How many times has Symank worn tights for the district?

Q2: How many semesters of ballet did Grande take in college?
