February 10-14
Nominations open- GPISD Education Foundation's Beyond the Book
Campus Principal,
The Galena Park I.S.D. Education Foundation exists to monetarily support students and employees in the District through scholarships and teaching grants, and also to acknowledge those employees who go above and beyond their core duties to teach our children and/or support the delivery of education in GPISD. To date, over 1 million dollars in scholarships and grants have been awarded by the Foundation and countless employees have been acknowledged as “Dazzling Diamonds.”
The Galena Park I.S.D. Education Foundation will select four Beyond the Book recipients to attend the Dazzling Diamonds Gala: one elementary educator, one secondary educator, one member of the District’s support staff and one District level administrator, who exhibit the traits of a positive role model for students and colleagues. A team member may complete the attached forms; however, they must be submitted and signed by the campus principal. The Foundation Awards Committee will review all nominations and will select the four 2020 Beyond the Book winners.
Beyond the Book applications are due by Friday, February 14. Please submit the applications via interoffice mail to Elyse Rountree.
