Summer Academy for High School Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Summer Academy is an in-person, overnight program that will be held at the Hiram G. Andrews Center in Johnstown, PA. This program is created in partnership with the Department of Labor and Industry's Office for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ODHH), and the Department of Education's Bureau of Special Education's Pennsylvania Teaching and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN). The mission of the Summer Academy for High School Students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing is to provide a supportive environment to assist high school students who are deaf or hard of hearing with learning about all of the skills necessary to successfully transition from high school to post-secondary educational options.
