A couple of thank yous...
THANK YOU for sending in goodies for our Hot Cocoa Day. We spent time enjoying, but also using the cocoa to learn and work! (See photos below)
THANK YOU, also, for everyone who came out to support our school on Culver's Night - we raised $475!
HOT COCOA DAY
These 2 helped demonstrate mixtures vs. solutions.
Our day started with charting how we like our cocoa.
These students are recording & analyzing class results.
We made mugs with our "Mugs" on them...
recommended good books to read with cocoa...
and, of course, DRANK hot cocoa while we read!
In other academic news...
We are continuing work on measurement and graphing in math, and non-fiction in Language. We are working to both learn about and compose non-fiction texts. These non-fictions include important Americans and American symbols. We took a "virtual" tour of several American Landmarks via the app Nearpod.
In Science we are ready to begin plant adaptions to study heredity. This will likely wait until our first full week of February.
