St Bernadette's School Notice
28th February 2022
Update for today
Dear Parents and Caregivers
We are now really feeling the presence of Covid through the Omicron variant. We are grateful that it has taken this long to get here and now we are facing it with much more preparation and protection through vaccinations.
We now have 4 confirmed cases in our school across Rooms 4, 5 & 6. We expect that this number will grow as cases in our community and all around us grow.
If your child is unwell they need to stay home and get tested.
If your child is well they can come to school.
Today we have 43 students away. Many of them are unwell and getting tested. Some are staying away because we have cases in the school. This could go on for months, and so you will need to think about whether staying away while there are cases in our school community is a viable option.
Here at school everyone who is well is continuing their learning. We are making sure our classes are well ventilated and we are particularly proud of how good our students are at sanitising and hand washing and the Year 4 students and above are doing a great job of wearing masks.
We are doing everything in our power to keep our students safe.
Please keep us informed of your families situation and decisions around this. If you have any questions or concerns please get in touch.
Take care and stay safe,
Jo Buckley
Principal
