All students are dismissed at 12:00 PM (busses and daycare vans run at 12:00 PM) — Lunch is not served — The Y-Care Staff is here for those signed up for Y-Care. Please send a lunch for your child if he/she will be staying with the Y-Care program. There is no care provided after NOON by our Westside staff.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Living in a community means being considerate of our neighbors. One small way we can show this consideration is by respecting their driveways. Unfortunately, there have been several instances lately of vehicles pulling into and blocking driveways, making it difficult for residents to come and go. Please be mindful of where you are parking during drop-off and pick-up times.
End of Quarter - Progress Reports
Please be aware that the “Grades” tab in Infinite Campus is closed and will reopen on Friday, January 26th after 4:00 pm. At this time, you can access your child’s report card via Infinite Campus. Please note that when reviewing the report card teacher comments do not show up in the portal when looking at the main Grades screen. They do, however, if you access the Reports screen. From there, you can generate a report card in pdf format that will have all the comments.
Crossing Guard Week
This week we celebrate Crossing Guard Appreciation Week and we’d like to give a quick “shout out” and “thank you” to our awesome crossing guards! Our students and staff have prepared cards to express our thanks! No matter what the weather or circumstance, our crossing guards do a great job keeping us safe!
Westside Yearbooks
If you haven't already done so, you can order a Westside yearbook through your Infinite Campus portal or by completing an order form and sending it to the office with your $12.00 payment (cash or check payable to Westside). Yearbooks are optional and will not be delivered until the end of the school year. The deadline for orders is March 28, 2024.
Career Day
Kids Heart Challenge
Dressing for the Weather
With the weather getting colder, please make sure your child is dressed appropriately to go outside. If there’s snow on the ground, students must wear boots and snowpants to play on the playground equipment or any other snow-covered area during recess. Students that do not have appropriate attire will need to stay on the blacktop. Recess is outside unless the temperature or wind chill is below 0.
Kindergarten Registration
It's time to enroll your newest Papermaker for 2024-2025!
Residents in the Kimberly Area School District can now register their newest Papermaker in Kindergarten. If your child is going to be 4 or 5 years old by September 1, 2024, registrations for 4K and 5K can be completed online. Please see the KASD website for additional information. Please note that if your child currently attends the 4K Center for Literacy, there is no need to register them for 5K.
Lost & Found
Our lost and found is growing by the day. If your child is missing anything, please ask them to check the lost and found!
Community Events
We receive many worthwhile announcements to be included in our newsletters. Since we cannot include all information here, please go to the District's website and check out our Community Events page. Events and activities are listed there, and are updated often.
