Titan Tidbits-Staff Edition
Volume 2, Week 33: April 13-17, 2020
General Announcements:
Welcome back from Spring Break!
Important Paragraph, read all:
Look for an email on Tuesday that has the list of all students receiving paper/pencil packets that we have been made aware of. I ask that upon receipt of the email, find your name, and email the specific parents to remind them of pickup time (4/16 from 7-10 and 4/17 from 2-4). If you get asked when they should turn in paper/pencil packets, please let them know it will be upon our arrival back to school and if the closure continues, more information will be sent out. Finally, our Google Site is set to go live with our NEW 10 days of learning on Thursday, April 16th at 10am. Unless Ann Bogan, Director of Elementary Ed., has me change that time, it will remain what I stated above. There was a thread on Facebook that may have parents reach out to you about this... the thread said it started again on 4/14 BUT it's been clear to us that the district wants us to use 4/14 and 4/15 as days that you are following up with students as needed and collaborating on the new lessons.
I, as many of you, have read on different media sites that the Governor and Molly Spearman will be announcing whether our closure will continue for the duration of the year in the next little bit. I do not have any insight from our district as to if and when this will happen. I've read media sources that say within the next 10 days. I will keep you posted when and if I hear anything.
Planning Ahead: The Academic Team and Administration will be meeting right after Spring Break to begin getting a game plan together of what more eLearning could look like if we have an extended closure. PLEASE DO NOT begin working on another set of eLearning Lessons until you have heard from us!
