The Grove

Be Kind, Work Hard, Be Brave

Note From Principal Graham

We are so proud of our third grade students working hard on their state standardized tests this week. Next week, our fourth and fifth grade students will be taking their end of the year state assessments. We wish them the best of luck but know they are going to do a wonderful job.

This week we resent your Powerschool Portal login information. This is how the district is going to start requesting forms to be completed. Transportation is asking for information on students who will be riding the bus next school year. The directions to complete the transportation form are below. If you need assistance, please stop by the front office and we will be glad to help.

Big picture

if you would like your student(s) to ride the bus next school year (2022–23), you must complete the transportation registration form found in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. The deadline to sign up for bus transportation is Monday, May 16.

Parents/guardians must log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal to register. Below are directions. If you have already created a Parent Portal account, skip to Step 2. If you do not already have a Parent Portal account, contact Megan Whittle at (803) 821-0104 for assistance.

You must complete a form for each child if you have more than one student.

The transportation department uses this registration information to create the bus routes for next school year.

If your transportation needs changing, or if you move, between now and the start of school in August, please contact your area transportation supervisor to make the change.

  • If your child currently attends a 4-year-old kindergarten program in Lexington District One, you do not need to complete this online enrollment process.
  • If you do not know which school your child is zoned for, go to the “School Locator” and fill out your information.

Achieving Goals and Ringing The Bell

It is such a joy to hear students ring the bell in the front lobby area signifying that they have reached their goal. We have some students that have had the opportunity to reach various goals getting to ring the bell multiple times. You can see below students holding up their fingers showing how many times they have rung the bell achieving yet another goal. That is awesome! We are so proud of all of the students at Oak Grove. Keep up the great work in achieving those goals.
