Phonics Pathway K-2 Teachers

I would like to highlight the upcoming Phonics Pathway that will be offered for K-2 teachers. This is a partnership between Title I, Professional Learning, and the Humanities Departments, targeting K-2 teachers. This pathway is aligned to the district’s literacy framework and includes: face-to-face sessions led by Pam Weiser, research-based strategies, model lessons, opportunities to practice with peers, and sessions held in schools so that participants can push into classrooms and receive on-the-job coaching. In addition to this, participants who successfully complete the pathway receive an abundance of books and resources to keep. We had over 100 people apply for 52 spots in our first cohort this fall, so seats will fill up quickly.
