Reminders -
• The Training Team reserves the right to cancel workshops due to low enrollment. Sessions that do not have at least 8 registered participants 3 days prior to the session will be canceled. If you plan to attend a session please register on Eduphoria - https://sanangelo.schoolobjects.com/ or click on the link for each class to go directly to the registration page for that class.
• You will be notified by e-mail if a class has been canceled.
• Please do not bring children to workshops or leave children unattended in the training area during workshops. Workshops are a professional learning environment and are not appropriate for children. Thank you for your cooperation.
• Please check your e-mail before attending a session. We may send reminders to bring certain items to class such as digital photos, iPads, etc.
• All classes are held at the JPS Building on Central High School campus.
Mastering the Basics of Windows Live Movie Maker
Course Dates: April 1, 2013 - 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM

Description: In this session, participants will learn how to use the free video editing software Windows Live Movie Maker (works only with Windows 7) to produce a final video product.

There's an App for That! - Part 1
Course Dates: April 2, 2013 - 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM
Location: Technology - Main Training Lab
Description: This session will focus on various apps for the ipad including productivity, various grade level apps, just for fun and more. You will learn how to find apps, download them and use them on your ipad.

Mastering the Basics of Windows 7
Course Dates: April 3, 2013 - 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM
Location: Technology - Main Training Lab
Description: Participants will become familiar with the basic functions in windows including the parts of the desktop, launching programs, file manipulation (copy, paste, delete, rename, and move), adding a network printer and searching for files.

Description: There are thousands of apps for the iPad. Come learn about a few of them in Part 2 of There's an App for That. Participants will review various grade level apps, cross curricular apps and just for fun apps.

Making a Masterpiece with Mixbook
Location: Technology - Main Training Lab
Description: In this session, participants will use an online program called Mixbook to create beautiful memory books. Mixbook provides various themes, backgrounds and layouts for your books - you just provide the pictures. Online books can be embedded into websites or you can purchase printed books from their site.

Pinterest Your Interests
Location: Technology - Main Training Lab
Description: Pinterest is a virtual pinboard that allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. It is also a great place to connect with other educators, get ideas for classroom activities, and find inspiration. Come find out why everyone is talking about Pinterest and see how you can use online pinboards to save everything from photos to blog posts in one easily accessible and usable place.

Kerpoof! - Multimedia Magic
Location: Technology - Main Training Lab
Description: Kerpoof is a free online application that allows children to create artwork, animated movies, cards, stories and more! Participants in this class will learn how to create an account for Kerpoof, set up student accounts and use all the great tools in the program. This program is designed for kids to have fun, discover things, and be creative!

Fonts, Fonts, Fonts for Windows 7
Location: Technology - Main Training Lab
Description: Ever get tired of the fonts on your computer? If so, this session is for you. Come learn how to find, download and install new fonts on your computer. We will also look at how to convert those new fonts into graphics.

Description: Participants will learn how to create tables and forms in Word 2010. This will include inserting fields, merging and splitting cells, formatting cells, adding and removing lines, and more.

Description: Participants will become familiar with some of the more advanced features of Outlook including calendar for scheduling appointments and meetings, contacts for maintaining distribution lists and contact information and personalizing Outlook.

United Streaming - More Than Just a Movie
Location: Technology - Main Training Lab
Description: This course will focus on the many features of United Streaming - not just the videos. Participants will learn how to find and download images, create writing prompts, use the assignment builder and more. We will also discuss different ways to incorporate United Streaming into the classroom.

Technology Tuesday

Description: This session will provide participants with technology work time to explore applications, ask questions, update web links and portal sites and get updates on the latest news regarding technology in the classroom. This is also a great time to work through ideas for the classroom.
