This Week in the Block Area - A Concert Hall and A Prison
Messages: Sharing our knowledge of Fort Greene through pictures and words. A strong interest in the Williamsburg Clocktower surfaces.

Comparing speakers both old and new. The materials were different, but the design was somewhat the same.
We came across some rare capacitors.
Children explored the circuitry of our old record player. They found a way to power it up without plugging it in.
Hollow Blocks: Designing and Building a Place for Children to Relax
The Peace Center can provide sanctuary for those struggling with strong emotions. While in this area you can write reflectively, have solitude, or take a few mindful breathes. These children will use their talents and research to redesign our 'take-a-break' spot of our classroom in the week's to come.
More Imagination
Morgan, in addition to several other children, started designing their own centers this week. In the weeks to come, we'll help them to get them up-and-running.
Children are using lenses to illustrate places both near and far. These can be attached to a class telescope.
One another and the rain, that's all they need...
