HTHS Boys Form FLC to Help Their Community
A group of eight boys from the Hewitt-Trussville High School Cross Country team recently created FLC "Free Lawn Care" to offer lawn care and other services to help senior adults and people with disabilities in need of lawn services. Seeing a need in their community, they set out to fill it.
The boys are: Sawyer Till, Paul Copus, Blake Bailey, Eli Muncher, Matthew Antkowiak, Eli Williamson, Wil Edwards and Kent Glover.
FLC has assisted more than 25 people in the surrounding areas with lawn care and other services like clearing underbrush and putting down mulch. The boys try to help with just about anything they can.
The boys follow the example of their Cross Country Coach David Dobbs, who volunteers and stresses the importance of volunteering and serving your community, at the Mercedes Marathon and Fire House Shelter.
The community has been supportive of FLC donating items like a lawnmower, gas trimmer, gas blower, edger and cash donations to help with expenses.
If you would like assistance or want to find out more about FLC, call 205-718-0841 or visit their Facebook Page https://www.faceook.com/freelawncaretrussville/
