Morning sessions will begin at 8:30 and end at 11:30. Afternoon sessions will resume at 12:10 and end at 3:00. Students needing to attend the intervention day have been identified by their classroom teachers and should have brought home a letter providing additional information. Please contact your child's teacher if you have questions.
Families will receive invoices for fall and yearlong AP courses (Chem 2-AP Chem, AP Language - Ferguson, AP Seminar - Ferguson, AP Research - Mendence) by Wednesday, 9/30. Spring course AP exams will be billed in February 2021. Payment for the fall and yearlong exams is due by Friday, 10/23. Please see the MHS website for AP exam dates. Contact Jennifer Abernathy with questions about AP exam payment.
Attention senior parents! The 2021-22 FAFSA opens on October 1, 2020. Successful FAFSA completion is required for state of TN funded programs such as the TN Promise Scholarship and the TN HOPE Lottery Scholarship. Please ensure you are completing the official FAFSA form at the government website: fafsa.ed.gov. Before October 1, you (and your child!) can go to this webpage to obtain an FSA ID which is the first step in completing the FAFSA form. Our school's TSAC representative, Erika Adams, will join us at MHS on October 19 for FAFSA completion help. Parents, stay tuned for further information. If you need FAFSA assistance, we will likely be making individual appointments (both in person and virtual) to minimize contact.
Junior Parents! Your students heard a presentation by Herff Jones regarding the opportunity to purchase a class ring. Herff Jones will be in the cafeteria during lunches on Monday and Tuesday to take any orders you might have. Also, the representative from Herff Jones will be in the gym lobby on Monday, September 28th from 3:30-6:30 to answer any questions or provide assistance.
Reminder - it is expected that all students will wear face coverings before school, during passing periods, at break, and any other times that social distancing cannot occur.

MHS is hosting the PSAT on Wednesday, 10/14 from 7:45am-12:00pm. Although the district changed the calendar to assign 10/14 as a teacher professional development day, we are still offering the PSAT on that day, as it is a designated College Board date.

- Sophomores will test in the MHS Auxiliary Gym.
- Digital/hybrid learners will test in the Library Conference Room.
To the PSAT, students should bring: No. 2 pencils and eraser, approved calculator (graphing or scientific; NO calculators that can connect to the internet, with QWERTY keypads or stylus), Social security number (optional), E-mail address (optional).
For more information, please contact Jennifer Abernathy.
