Principal Brief

December 8-12

The Fundamental Five

Sean Cain emphasizes the power of critical writing. Research says that the critical writing activity of identifying similarities and differences can increase student performance by 46%. Students, who think critically use writing as an important tool both for communicating important ideas and for learning... to deepen their understanding of important concepts and to clarify interrelationships between concepts. Are your students using their science, ELAR and math journals to write critically? What does this look like in your classroom?

Please remember that lesson plans are due by 9:00 pm on Sunday. Lesson plans can be attached. For every subject that you teach please attach the lesson plan. Seed questions should be in your lesson.
