Student Fitness Fridays at EMIS
Energize your mind and body in the month of January
Fitness Challenges for Students and Staff Throughout January!
Student Challenge: Classroom Energizers
A list of possible energizers can be found on this site. There are energizers for elementary levels as well as options that are broken up by area of study. Teachers can choose to do any of these energizers with their children. You may also choose to find other energizers to use with your classes.
In order to ensure fairness and fidelity (because we know how competitive you all are *cough Kaylor *cough), teachers will need to take a short video (5-10 seconds) of each energizer that their classroom competes in. Then, at the end of the month, each homeroom teacher who chooses to participate will compile their clips into a single video using iMovie to share with the specialist team.
Each clip in the video should have a heading saying which energizer the class is doing as well as the date of the clip. The homeroom that completes the most energizers in the month of January will earn 45 minutes extra gym time at the end of the day on Friday, February 8.

Lamb 5k Run/Walk 2019
About This Activity
Please join us at our 5th LAMB 5K Run/Walk and Kid's Fun Run as we raise money for intellectually challenged students at schools in the Mooresville/Troutman, NC area. LAMB Foundation of NC has donated over 20 million dollars to assist those with intellectual disabilities in the state of NC since 1974. The Knights of Columbus from St. Therese Council in Mooresville, NC is hosting this event to increase the amount of donations to LAMB NC with all proceeds going directly to local schools. We typically raise about $5,000 and distribute it to 15 local schools. To register a family of 4 - 6, please email lamb5krun@gmail.com to receive a discount code.
