Our Year is Almost Over!

It is amazing to us all that the school year is almost over. The children have grown so much and have had a wide variety of new experiences. We are impressed with their energy and enthusiasm, which inspires us to greatness every day.

The teachers look forward to sharing your child's report with you on May 20, they have many useful insights, which will help you to prepare your child for his or her next school year.

Thank you ahead of time for the for your thoughtfulness and generosity during Teacher Appreciation Week. This is a very special time for us all.

If you have not had a chance to attend one of our Parent Forum sessions, please mark your calendar for May 18, when there will be another opportunity to listen to Kingwood Montessori Alumni, and ask your questions.

May 2-6 - Teacher Appreciation Week - Please see separate agenda

May 9-13 - Elementary Field Trip to Camp Allen

May 16 - Parent Appreciation Breakfast 8:30-9:30am

May 18 - Parent Forum – 6:00-7:00pm. Theme - “What’s Next for a Montessori Child?” plus Alumni Speakers - Childcare will be available

May 20 - Conferences/Progress Reports/No School

May 23 - June 2 - Each class will hold an end of year celebration event

May 30 - School Holiday/Memorial Day

June 1 - End of Year Ceremony 6:00 - 8:00pm

June 2 - Last Day of School/Noon Dismissal/ No Extended Care

June 3 - Staff Workday

Annual Giving

Dear Parents,

We are reviewing our fundraising for this year.

Thank you to all those who have given so generously to our school.

The funds are going towards:

Staff Training - to maintain a highly trained faculty

Playground - adding equipment to our outdoor space

Goal $20,000 - $200 per family

Raised $10,815

Spent $3,757.17 - staff training

Still to spend $6,242.83 - Playground

54% of the projected funds have been raised

48% of our families have given during our fundraising campaign

Next Board Of Trustees Meeting

We are always looking for qualified people to serve on our board. If you know someone who would be a good fit for us, or you believe that you have the knowledge and talent to move our mission forward, please send an introductory letter to the Director, Kate Broughton.
