A toy of your choice

Making the puppet toy is a complicated 3D structured felting project involving many skills and technics - perfect layout and working with coarse carded and extra fine Merino wool in tops, knowing the fleeces and raw fibbers, nuno-felting, needle felting, wet felting, sewing, designing, sculpturing. It is an extremely diverse project and makes you turn into a real creator. And all this we can use just in 2 days. You will be introduced in this magical felting world and get inspiration for future projects.

You can make one toy of your choice.

List of animals to choose: the orangutan, the raccoon, the frog, the donkey, the black sheep, the hedgehog, the fox, the magpie and the dog. Please, notice, that the most time consuming and difficult toys are: the frog, the goat and the orangutan.

Why this course is so special?

This course is very big fun, it gives everyone the opportunity to play and learn just like the kids do. There no fatal mistakes, wrong models, sizes or so, so it is very relaxed process with no stress and guaranteed funny result. It is creative even though you will use her ready patterns and models, there are no same toys come out. All are unique and very often made by newbee who haven't seen wool before. This is pure art therapy.

In general this toys have big educational power by themselves. Hand puppets are used by teachers, psychologist, kindergarten workers, museums for educational purposes. Kids love puppets animals and trust them. Yara feels that by making animal puppets she also do a tiny share in environmental education. Kids must know their animal neighbours and protect them.
