Principal's Weekly Newsletter
May 12, 2022
The playground is finally here and installed! Thanks to all you who bought Football Bash tickets, donated to the annual appeal, participated at the Main Event, or volunteered to take out the old equipment and get the ground ready for new installation! This was definitely a group effort with so many people giving their time, talent, and treasure to make this a reality. Students will be able to enjoy the equipment tomorrow.
As you know the next phase will be getting new surfacing for the area. CPTO will be sharing information on the upcoming 2022 Football Bash to help secure the funds. I know we can achieve this goal as well!
Blessings,
Lynette Hackett
Principal
Reminder: CPTO meeting tonight at 6:30 PM in the CCC.
FAITH
This week I was fortunate to take a couple families on a school tour. Each family was so appreciative of our Monday Morning Prayer. They were so excited to be a part of this long standing tradition. What a great way to start our week!
EXCELLENCE
Mrs. Maiers does a fabulous job teaching art to the 5th-8th grade students. The displays show the talent we have within our building and the variety of activities the students are involved in.
SERVICE
Mrs. Kjeldsen's class completed their service learning project with the Northeast Iowa Food Bank by presenting them with a check for $1000 and volunteering at the food bank to fill food bags for needy families. They have worked all year to show their support and make a difference in our community! I am so proud of their efforts.

FIELD DAY HELP NEEDED!
On Thursday, May 19, from 1:30 to 3:10 PM, we need eight people to be responsible for filling containers, getting supplies ready for games, and making sure games run smoothly. At the end, you will cut tops of icee pops and hand out to students. It is best not to bring small children as you will be busy! Please report to the office at 1:20 PM.
Thank you to everyone who participated or helped with the Shamrock Shuffle. Throwing color might have been just as fun as running!
PS-GRADE 8 LAST DAY OF SCHOOL ACTIVITY!
CPTO is back this year with after school at Palmers Family Fun Center. 3:30-6:30 PM on Friday, May 20. $15 a person payable at the door at Palmer's. Families must supervise their children.
