Wolf Creek Weekly
Building Pathways To Success
From The Principal's Desk
Greetings! Thanks for a great week!
Oh The Places Wolf Creek Will Go! We had an awesome Dedication Ceremony! Thanks for your support as we celebrated our first year. Our students and staff hosted a splendid event. Hats off to our Student Ambassadors, Student Council, ATLAS Club, TAG students, Dance team, Chorus, Broadcast Team, and Safety Patrols for an outstanding job. Thanks to our School Dedication Team and teachers for your dedication and support. The building looked great and performances were outstanding. We had a packed house full of community stakeholders to show their support. Whatever your role, we thank you. You missed a treat if you could not make it but we have a surprise for you, thanks to our student Broadcast team! Check out the entire program right here: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/102987139 Enjoy!
A special thanks to our PTA, school staff members and student clubs. They dedicated the first 2 Buddy Benches to Wolf Creek. They look great and have beautiful engraved plates affixed to them. They will be on display throughout the week. Please check them out!
Now that testing is over, GMAS preliminary scores will be coming home to parents soon. Students in 3rd and 5th grade that did not pass the required state subject areas will have the opportunity to attend a June summer school session. The summer school site for Wolf Creek students will be Seaborn Lee Elementary. The summer school session is June 5th - June 20th. Summer school hours are 8:00 - 12:00 PM daily. Students need to attend every day. They will retest on the required subject areas only on June 19th and 20th. The pass/fail core subject area for 3rd grade is ELA and for 5th grade they are ELA and Math.
Students that did not pass the required sessions will also participate in instructional sessions daily that will focus on any deficit areas.
We have a busy month ahead of us. You don't want to miss it! Please see the school events and important dates below. Mark your calendars. We hope to see you at the various events.
Thanks for your continued support.

Safety First!
Thanks for your support! Thanks for working with us to ensure safety for the students.
Please help us by using the car rider loop in the front of the building for all student drop-offs in the mornings. The car rider loop moves fast but it does require some wait time and patience. This is the safest area for student drop offs. We have assigned staff to support students as they get out of cars. The bus ramp in the back is reserved for buses only. If parents are using the parking lot near the bus ramp area for parking, they are asked to park their vehicles and escort their child into the building. We have seen a rise in the number of students being dropped off and running across the bus ramp to enter the building. This is a safety concern. Remember, the doors open at 7:10 AM for student arrival. All parents are asked to sign in at the front office before moving through the building. Thanks in advance for your support. If we have parents that can volunteer in the bus ramp area, please let us know. We could use the extra hands and eyes to ensure safety for the students.
Thanks for your support
