1st Ever County Tennis Champs

The Union City Boys Varsity Tennis Team competed in the 1st ever Randolph County Tennis Tournament at Randolph Southern on Saturday. The Indian Tennis team won this 1st ever County Championship.

The Indians defeated Winchester in the first round Saturday morning 4-1. The boys played Randolph Southern in the afternoon round, defeating the Rebels 5-0 to claim the Championship.

Trevor Spence, Jacob Fulk, Chase Jefferis, Zach Bradbury & John Carpenter were all named to the All County Tennis Team.

The boys travel back to Randolph Southern on Monday to face the Rebels in a dual match.

Athlete of the Week Chase Jefferis

Chase Jefferis Varsity Tennis player for the Union City Indians had an exceptional week over the past 7 day period. He led the team in victories, going 4-0 with wins against Randolph Southern, Tri-High, Centerville and South Adams. Chase was named the Randolph County Athlete of the Week for his great week of Tennis. Congratulations Chase Great Job!
