Welcome Back Students!

As your summer is winding down, hopefully the excitement of returning to campus is setting in. Some of you may be already thinking about what you will do to bring in some money through the year and it is the perfect time to begin looking for part-time work both on and off of campus. Deadlines are fast approaching for many positions, so apply now through Handshake ( using your Auburn University username and password.

Expanded Drop-In Hours

In other BIG NEWS….Beginning August 22, we will be expanding our Drop-in hours for the year to 9:00-4:00 Monday-Friday. Stop on by for assistance with all things career related from choosing a major to resume advice, to finding internship opportunities. For current hours, visit

Torey Palmer

Torey Palmer has been with the Career Center since 2010 where he began as a Graduate Assistant, but his journey at Auburn started as an undergraduate student. Torey has been deeply involved at Auburn as a Camp War Eagle Parent Counselor, Supplemental Instruction/Study Partners Program Assistant, Instructor, and much more. He graduated from Auburn in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Biomedical Science and continued his education by obtaining his Master of Education in Administration of Higher Education in 2012. Torey is one of the Career Center's most experienced counselors and he gets to use his vast knowledge of Auburn to help students everyday.

Resource Highlight


For students who are currently exploring majors and career options, FOCUS is a wonderful resource to begin this exploration. FOCUS is a self-paced, career and education planning tool that enables you to self-assess your career relevant personal qualities and explore career fields and major areas of study that are most compatible with your assessment results. The Career Center has a variety of additional tools to help as well which can be discussed during a Drop-in appointment.
