As is typical for this time of year, we have had a little taste of spring, but Mother Nature reminds us that winter isn't ready to leave, just yet! Nevertheless, we are gearing up for an exciting spring and planning for many of our Doyle traditions.

This past week, we celebrated our Soaring Eagles with an assembly about Character Building. DJ Reggie taught us some hip hop dancing while sharing his message to be Trustworthy, Respectful, Responsible, Fair, and Caring! This tied in very well with our Doyle 5 themes. Following the show, DJ Reggie took a few moments to talk with me. He was very impressed with our students and couldn't say enough positives about his experience here at Doyle! He was so excited to see the children and staff engaged, participating, and being so respectful during the show. I shared this with our students and expressed how proud we are, as they continue to display the Doyle 5, and how awesome it is that visitor to our school noticed that right away!

Read Across America ~ PAWS for Reading

This week we have kicked off our Read Across America celebration with our "Paws for Reading" theme and spirit days. Please see the image below for the selections for each day and the spirit day.

2022 PSSA for Grades 3-6

The dates have been set for administering the 2022 PSSA in grades 3-6 at Doyle. This year, the testing format will be online with students using their CBSD device to take the assessment and will begin promptly in the morning after announcements.

2022-2023 New Student Registration

Kindergarten students MUST be five (5) years of age on or before August 31, 2022. No exceptions. Please note: Kindergarten program session requests (AM/PM) should be directed to the school once registration is complete.

2022-2023 Grade One Eligibility

First grade students must be six (6) years of age on or before August 31, 2022, or have completed a PA certified kindergarten program to be eligible. Steps for online registration are outlined below. If you do not have access to a computer there are resources available at your local library.

**Please note - you DO NOT need to register your children who are currently enrolled in CB; this is for new students only.

We feel so LUCKY to have such amazing staff at Doyle. Let's celebrate our luck on St. Patrick's Day with a staff luncheon during the first day of spring conferences.

The luncheon will be held this year on Thursday, March 17th from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM in the Fab Lab for staff to grab in between parent conferences. We will be doing a Build-Your-Own-Salad Bar so are asking for all the elements to be donated to allow the staff to create their own meal.

As a reminder, when Central Bucks School District operates on a 2-hour delayed schedule, the kindergarten program will operate according to a “modified” schedule.

Join a Central Bucks High School art teacher to learn how to paint your own masterpiece! This special workshop is hosted by the Central Bucks High School West cast of Amélie and is open to Central Bucks students ages 6-13. Students will participate in the art workshop, meet the cast (and show off their projects) and enjoy a sneak peek performance from the show. All participants are invited to leave their artwork at West to be displayed in the lobby during show week (paintings can be picked up after the final performance). Amélie runs March 31-April 3rd.
