PRINCIPAL'S NOTE
Another week, another snow day! I guess winter decided to wait until it was almost spring to arrive this year. I guess the bright side is that it will melt quickly.
Have you heard about the RSU1 STEM City event happening on Thursday, April 6th at Morse High School/Bath Tech from 5-7PM? Prepare to have your minds blown. Bath and its surrounding community are throwing a celebration for STEM (science, technology, engineering & math). This is not your typical STEM event. Experience virtual reality, cool maker spaces, Lego robotics, animal science, 3-D printing, and more. Free to everyone. Each grade level at PES will be participating. Our theme is the STEM of Trees. There will be displays, work samples and interactive activities for everyone to try. Be sure to watch classroom newsletters for more specific information regarding your child's activity.
PLEASE REGISTER FOR MAD SCIENCE BY MARCH 17TH
The next 8-week K-5 Mad Science before school program begins April 5th and ends May 31st. If your child is interested in participating in Mad Science's Secret Agent Lab program, please register online at maine.madscience.org by March 17th. We need a minimum of 12 students to hold the program at PES (parents provide transportation to school on these Wednesdays). Scholarships are available; if interested, please contact Mrs. Doran at 389-1514 by March 17th. See FLYER for details. Earlier registration is important for planning purposes.
