Reporting a positive Covid result out of hours

Should you believe your child to have Covid-19 symptoms and need to go into self-isolation, please notify the school office in the usual way via phone or email.

Should you receive a ‘test positive’ result for your child it is VITAL that you notify us as soon as possible: During school hours – directly to the school office via 01937 557396.

Out of hours send an email to (stating student’s full name and class, contact phone number, date and time of positive Covid test result – please use TEST POSITIVE in the title)

It is VITAL that you let us know as soon as you possibly can so that we can implement contingency planning.

Covid Prevention

Thank you for adhering to our ongoing Covid-19 prevention measures. Now that the country has come out of lockdown, it is important that we all remember to keep to our rules. Please always remember to wash hands and belongings regularly, maintain social distance and (adults) wear a mask. Please also leave enough room for children in other bubbles to pass.

If anyone in your family shows symptoms, the whole family must isolate until a negative test result is obtained. We would not like all our hard work this term to be undone in the run up to Christmas, and none of us wants to be self-isolating in the coming weeks.

Covid App

Don’t forget that our school has registered with the Covid Symptom Study to help monitor the spread of the virus. If you would like to participate, you will need to register with the code AFXPPKY. For more information including full instructions on how to join and use the COVID Symptom Study app please head to:

Christmas Jumper Day - Save the Children

Today is Christmas Jumper day for Save the Children. Thank you to everyone that has made a donation, we have raised an amazing £78. Anyone still wishing to make a donation can do so via ParentPay.

Christmas Cards

The Christmas Card post box is in school. Children can write cards to their friends (in our school only please!) and post them in the box in the school entrance. Please ensure that the full name and class is written on the envelope. All cards need to be sent into school by Tuesday 15th December to ensure that they can be sanitised and given out before Christmas.

Children Starting in September 2021

As you know, we are unable to show visitors around our school at the moment. We know that families are looking for schools for children starting in September 2021 and so we have put a short video tour on our website to help show how our school works. If you know a family who might like to apply for a place next year do encourage them to look at the website, or speak to the office.

Christmas Activities in School

We are still trying to do some of our normal Christmas activities in school. We will want to share some of these with you as videos, but we need to do so in a safe way. Please be patient with us because the technology is new to everyone. We may need to grant access to each single request separately, which will obviously take some time. Do bear with us because we will do our very best to grant access as quickly as we can.

Willow Nativity

Willow class are going to do a nativity performance in church next week. Please note that for safety reasons we are only making this available to a limited number of parents of children in the class, and it is not open to anyone else. Admission will strictly be by ticket only; please do not attempt to come if you do not have a ticket as admission will be refused.

Christmas Eve Bracelets

Annabel & Lydia Komaromy spent the whole of November making Christmas Eve bracelets all in aid of Forget Me Not Children's Hospice. They have been super busy hand making the charity bracelets but managed to raise an impressive £350 for the charity supporting children with life-shortening illnesses. Thank you to everyone who helped support their fundraising project.

FOSS Christmas Raffle and Chocolate Tombola

On Tuesday 15th December we will draw the FOSS Christmas Raffle and hold the Chocolate Tombola in school.

Please make sure if you have any outstanding raffle tickets that you return those to school on Monday to be included in the draw.

FOSS have organised a chocolate tombola for the children next week in school to help raise funds - and to bring a little Christmas cheer! Children can bring in money to have a go, it will be £1 for 3 tickets.

Energy Suppliers

Did you know that many of the smaller energy suppliers get much better customer feedback than the ‘Big 6’ companies? Don’t rule out switching to companies you may not have heard of without doing some research first – you can check out the Which? list of recommended energy suppliers here: The average household can save £200 per year so make December the month you switch!

Next week we will be on WEEK 2 of the Autumn lunch menu. If you would like to make any changes can you please ensure you let the office know as soon as possible.

The new Spring Term Lunch Menu for next term is shown below. The Lunch selection for next term has been changed to make lunch choices easier for children.

We ask that you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like for lunch. As from January, if your child starts the week with a school lunch then they will be on school lunches for the whole of that week. If your child starts the week with a packed lunch, they will be on packed lunches for the whole of that week. Children can switch weekly between school lunches and packed lunches but not daily.

We hope this new process will make everything much easier for yourselves and your children.
