Hello Seco Families,


Please take a look below at information about upcoming dates, including CAASPP Testing. Check out the flyers below for additional information about the upcoming SCV Teacher Recruitment Fair, and the City of Santa Clarita's Youth Arts Showcase.


Please note that the 3rd quarter ends on March 17 and Arroyo Seco's Open House will be on March 30 (more information to follow).


Families of 8th Graders, please see the flyer below about Saugus High School's upcoming 8th Grade Centurion Connection event on March 16. Please also see the list below of activities in March and April for 8th graders going to Saugus High. If your 8th grader will NOT be attending Saugus High School in the fall, please contact Arroyo Seco's Registrar, Stacy Galdi, at 296-0991 ext. 1130 or option 2, or ASRegistrar@hartdistrict.org. It's important that we have this information so that we can help facilitate your child's transition to the correct high school.

Summer IMPACT program for 7th grade students who failed one or more classes:

Credit Recovery Program for 8th grade students not meeting promotion credit requirements:

City of Santa Clarita Youth Arts Showcase

City of Santa Clarita, Newhall Community Center introduce their 7th Annual Youth Art Month Celebration, The Youth Arts Showcase, Painters, Pictures, & Prose Contest! This is an annual visual and literacy arts contest showcasing the artistic talents of youth in our community. Public, private, and homeschooled students, grades K-12, within the City of Santa Clarita are invited to submit their original creative work. Entries from 13-18 years old will also qualify for the Santa Clarita Sister Cities Young Artists & Authors Showcase.


When: Saturday, March 25th, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

Where: Newhall Community Center, 22421 Market Street

Entry Deadline: March 13, 2023

Three Strikes Policy

This is a reminder about our spring three strikes policy. If students get in trouble for violating school rules (including excessive tardies throughout the school day), they may receive a strike. Once they receive three strikes, they will lose privileges, including the ability to participate in any end of year activities and field trips (including 8th Grade Universal trip).
