We want to share the learning topics at all of the grade levels so that you can ask your child about their learning this month. Your child's teacher is always happy to provide more details should you have questions!
Picture Day
Picture day for students who have selected PH Online will be on picture retake day which is scheduled for Thursday, November 18th. We will send out a SignUp Genius and more information to online families as we get closer to that date.
Fall Clubs
Application Process
Like last year, club sign-up will be online! We will send more information about the clubs that will be offered in the family newsletter next Friday, September 18th.
Then, check your email for the SignUp Genius link (coming Monday, September 21st at 6am). Students may sign-up for clubs they are interested in online until they are full or until September 24th when our sign-up closes.
If you are unable to sign-up online please contact Mrs. Sieminski by email (sieminskis@parkhill.k12.mo.us) or phone (816-359-6818). Depending on the slots available, she will either complete the Sign-Up Genius for you or place your name on a waiting list.
Club Start Dates
Each club sponsor will communicate with families on September 25th. Because clubs will be virtual this year, students will not need to submit permission slips! Once you have signed-up using the SignUp Genius, wait to hear from the club sponsor.
Join PTA!
Our first PTA meeting of the school year will be on Monday, September 14th from 6:30-8p. Please consider joining using the Zoom link that will be sent out to PTA members.
Joining the PTA is one of the best ways you can support your child, the school, and its teachers!
PTA also works with the school and its teachers directly to make purchases that have a huge positive impact towards our kids learning and development. Below are just a few examples of purchases made by your PTA last school year:
- Snacks and drinks on the monthly Friday PTA Spirit Cart
- $1750 For Teacher Appreciation Gifts During Distance Learning
- $505 for a new Bike Rack for our Track Area
- $300 to be used by the Southeast Care Team
- Supported numerous parties and fun events for the kids!
Donation Drive
These are challenging times and given that we don't know exactly what the school year looks like, there will be no official fundraisers for the PTA this year. In lieu of fundraisers, we are going to combine a 1 time donation request with the membership drive this year. Your donation will be put to good use throughout the year in various and creative ways:- Helping Families in Need Through the Southeast Cares Team
- Social Distancing Friendly Ways To Support and Feed Our Great Teachers and Staff
- Continue To Work Directly With Teachers To Identify and Purchase Items To Help in Classrooms
- Organize Funds for Future Improvements To Our Track and Outdoor Areas
- Build Community and Celebrate All Students Both Online and In Person
- Fingers Crossed, All Sorts of In Person Activities During Second Semester!
Car Rider Tips and Tricks
Please consider taking your child to school instead of sending them on the bus. We will not be able to provide physical distancing on the buses, but we will take as many precautions as possible.
Thank you for your help with this!
As a result, we have many more car riders than normal. Please follow these tips and tricks to make our car rider line as efficient as possible:
- Form 3 lanes of cars
- Have your car rider placard out
- Watch closely for directions from Southeast staff
- Be prepared to circle around if your child is not ready to be picked up from the gym
- Plan for your child to sit on the passenger's side
- Pull into a parking space if your child needs help buckling
- Do not pull through the bus loop
- If you are picking your child up prior to the end of the school day, please arrive in the office prior to 3:30p. Those arriving after 3:30p will need to join our car rider line.
- Contact the office prior to 2:30p to request a change in transportation.
Parent Portal: Infinite Campus
Park Hill School District uses Infinite Campus as our student information system. You can access your child’s essential school information and district information quickly! This includes Attendance, Grades, Bus Information, Technology Fees, Residency Verification, and MORE.
To be able to access your child’s information, you must set-up an account. To set-up your account, you will need to enter a unique GUID code, followed by setting up your own username and password. Our front office can email you your GUID code if needed.
Many families have already set-up an account. If you have forgotten your password, click "forgot password" and follow the directions.
Infinite Campus organizes students by household, so you can access your family in just one account. If you have questions, need technical support, or have misplaced your unique access key code, feel free to call us at 816-359-4360.
1:1 Technology
As you know, during the 2020-2021 school year, every student will be issued a Park Hill device. This will allow us to be prepared in the event that we need to move to a distance learning format. That said, we know that having access to a device can cause challengies for students. Here are some general guidelines and best practices for device use at home.
Consider working with your child's classroom teacher to establish healthy boundaries for your child's device usage at home. Thank you for your support. If you have any technology issues or questions, please contact the Help Desk Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. at 816-359-5000.
Food Services: Breakfast & Lunch
Students may bring their lunch from home or eat a school lunch from the cafeteria.
ALL LUNCHES AND BREAKFASTS ARE FREE FOR ALL STUDENTS UNTIL DECEMBER 2020 as long as federal funding remains available (click to see details for pick-up options).
Menus are sent home on a monthly basis or available on the Park Hill School District Nutrition Services Website.
You can access your child’s lunch account at www.schoolcafe.com. You must have your student’s school, ID number, and birth date to establish a School Café account. If you do not have your child’s meal pay number, please contact the office.
An application of free/reduced meal pricing is available in the school office or on this Free & Reduced Application Page. These forms do not carry over and have to be filled out each school year. We encourage everyone who qualifies to complete an application.

Do you know a Park Hill Star?
The Park Hill Star recognition program was started in 2015 to celebrate support staff and teachers whose work is especially noteworthy.
The following is an overview of the Park Hill Star Program:
Our employees are the reason we are so successful here in the Park Hill School District, and we would like to recognize them for all they do for our students. That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee.
Southeast Communication
You will find several ways to stay up to date on school activities on the Southeast website , Facebook, and newsletters from your child’s teacher. You will also occasionally get an automated email or voicemail message sent to you, by the school, with important information and reminders. We know two-way communication is best, so please feel free to call or email with any questions you may have regarding your child’s education.
