From the Principal's Desk
Hello Rose Pioneer Families,
If you know of anyone interested in learning more about our awesome Y5s and Kindergarten programs, please forward this newsletter to her/his email and have them click on the Young Fives & Kindergarten link below for enrollment details.
Mrs. Carrie Keech is our awesome Holly Area Schools Literacy Coach. Her growing expertise in early literacy is already positively impacting our organizational practices as educators, but she also will be sharing tips for parents in upcoming newsletters. Please take a moment to learn more about Mrs. Keech below.
We are beginning our second week of M-Step testing with 5th graders this week. We are all very proud of our students for their willingness to set M-Step goals and work diligently on each area of the assessments; keep up the great work students!
Lastly, don't forget to order your child's yearbook. These will be distributed in the fall when we return to school and will include pictures of events right up to the last day of this school year.
Thank you for reading and for your continued support of our HAS Bronchos!
Sincerely,
Michael Beattie

My Student's School Issued Device is Broken! What Do I Do?
Below are steps that families should take if their student's device is not functioning properly and a repair may be needed.
(1) Create a technology ticket, There are three ways to contact the service desk to create a ticket:
a. Log into the service desk system to create a ticket or,
b. Send an email message to osservicedesk@oakland.k12.mi.us or,
c. Call 248.209.2060
● A Parent must create a ticket for all Y5-8th grade students
● Students in 9th-12th grades may create tickets or have parents create tickets for them.
(2) If the Service Desk is unable to fix the issue, you will be directed to drop the device off at the main office in the building where your student is enrolled.
(3) If your device needs to be sent out for repair your student will be offered a loaner device for those who qualify and while supplies last.
If your device needs to be sent out for repair we may be able to provide a Loaner device, if:
~You have insured your students device.
~If not insured, you pay the $25 repair evaluation fee
~You can make the payment onsite with either E-funds or pay with a check made payable to Holly Area School district. A receipt will be provided upon payment.
Note: If your student receives a loaner device, (s)he will be expected to return the loaner device once their device is repaired. You will be notified via email through the ticketing system and or email directly.
If you have further questions, you are always welcome to contact your school office for additional support.
