Athena and Arachne's Story

Arachne knew that she was the best weaver. She would always barg, and when she did it was loud. Her friends would tell her not to brag so loudly or else the gods would hear her and get revenge.

One time, though, the god Athena did hear her. At once she came down in disguise as an old hag. Once she found Arachne, she got out of her disguise.

"If you think you are a better weaver than me, then lets have a challenge!"

Arachne agreed, and they started at once.

In the end the competitors looked at each others art. Athena got s omad that she ripped the picture in two. She was so mad she turned Arachne into a spider so she could weave for etearnity.
