National Junior Honor Society/Sociedad Nacional Juvenil de Honor (NJHS)
All 6th grade students who maintain a 3.3 grade point average (mostly A’s and B’s) and are willing to complete four hours of community service, should apply for Lincoln Middle School’s chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. Interested 6th grade students should join our NJHS Google Classroom using the code: r66aggw to access the second semester application, which is due on Tuesday, January 31st.
The four hours of community service for 6th graders needs to be completed before May 11, 2023. Students are welcome to attend monthly Builders Club meetings to earn service credit.
It is NOT necessary for 7th and 8th graders to reapply to NJHS for second semester. If they were accepted in first semester, their status remains intact.
Email Ms. DeBeech (bdebeech@smmusd.org) or Ms. Hoffman (bhoffman@smmusd.org) if you have questions.
FYI - 7th and 8th graders had an opportunity to apply to NJHS during first semester, and they have six hours of community service to complete. If there are 7th and 8th graders who are still interested in joining NJHS, they can do so, however, they are still responsible for the full six hours of service. Keep in mind that our NJHS six hours are in addition to the five hours that ALL eighth graders must complete.
