Guidance News
Please see the chart below for a breakdown of counseling assignments:
Student Schedules
Schedules are available through Aspen. You can access your schedule through Aspen at your convenience. If you would like to make a schedule change please email your assigned guidance counselor or make an appointment to see your counselor over the first week of school.
Please note that counselors will work diligently to respond to all scheduling requests. Due to the volume of requests, this may take some time. Students will have a two-week add/drop period once school begins in order to ensure all scheduling issues are resolved.
School Supplies
Students should come to school on the first day with a writing utensil and notebook. Requirements for school supplies vary depending on your child’s teacher and classes. Teachers will spend the first two days outlining their specific class requirements and expectations.
Technology
All high school students are expected to have a Chromebook or laptop for school use each day. If you have your own device, you are welcome to use it. If you would prefer to use a school-issued Chromebook, you can check in with the IT office over the first few days of school. Students should plan to bring a charged device to school each day for classroom purposes.
Weekly Assembly
You will note that the master schedule includes a “Weekly Assembly” block. All students are to report directly to the Auditorium each Tuesday for this dedicated time. I’ve included a brief description below as a preview for those interested. I will go over the agenda for the year, purpose, and vision for the time in full detail at our first meeting which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, September 6th.
“Weekly Assembly is designed to create a strong culture and establish norms for all students and staff to build upon. These weekly meetings not only ground and teach the students about vital life-skills and concepts; but the time also serves as a place to celebrate and empower them; deepening their connection with their peers and themselves. Each month revolves around an established theme and relies on student involvement and investment.”
This past week, Kudos to RHS...

- Upperclass leaders who came in to welcome our incoming freshmen class by providing tours to our new students. It was amazing to meet all of our new students & families - Welcome to the RHS family! 💪🤗
