Animaniacs Live in Concert
Dear Families,
On October 27, we will have a classroom activity, "Pumpkin Palooza." For this event to be successful I will need some volunteers and some items donated. All volunteers and items donated will be greatly appreciated by the students and myself. If you can either spare you time or donate for this event or even both, you can see the list of items and volunteer spots in the ParentSquare message. (Click on Blue Link or the Link Below.) Please ask if you have any questions. This event will be Friday, October 27 in the classroom from 8:30-10:30. If you are donating items, please have them to school by October 25, so I can get what is left.
We will be learning about pumpkins throughout the month throughout all subjects, and this event is the culmination of all of our learning through different investigations and a tasty treat.
This will be an exciting time for the students and well-deserved.
Thank you,
Jon

"Special Day" Calendar
Below are some special days that will be highlighted in class. Most of the days we will celebrate, and there are some that we will talk about.
The Homework Menu is sent home each Monday, and it is due by Friday (signed) each week. Each week your child will select and complete four activities on the menu. The menu is the same for the entire month so a bit of encouragement may be needed to pick different activities. It is ok to place an X or your initials on the activities chosen to keep track of what they have done. Please sign the menu at the bottom. If a child completes his/her homework and returns the menu, then they will be entered into the Homework Lottery. You may keep the practice at home or return it to school. The homework isn't graded it is for the practice and family interaction. Also on Mondays each child will bring home their spelling practice pages and their Eureka Math lessons to work on the Apply book lessons at home for practice. Remember you can complete the book borrowing sheet and your child will bring home some books at their reading level. The books can be returned at anytime during the week or on Fridays.
This is due on Friday, October 20.
