Essay Assignment:


  • The essay for this year's Oratorical Affair was assigned last week and is due on Wednesday by 11:59 PM on Google Docs. This year's theme is, "I Can Only Imagine". All students are required to submit an essay on Google Docs for Language Arts. Students must submit a hard copy of their essay if they would like to be considered for the Oratorical Affair. This is strictly optional. We will make final selections during the week of March 16. The Oratorical Affair will be held at First Lutheran School of Torrance on March 26. More information will be sent home as soon as it is available.

Middle School Electives: Graphic Design

  • Students will finish working on their Book Jacket Project this week using Publisher. Students may redesign an existing book jacket/cover, or design a book cover for a book of their own creation.
FREE RICE

500 grains earns you 1 point of extra credit on a grammar assignment or up to 1,000 grains earns you 2 points of extra credit on a grammar or vocabulary quiz.

BOOK ADVENTURE

Students are required to read one book and take a quiz per trimester. Please print out your Report and turn in for a grade. Be sure to write your name on the printout!
