Cub Connection
Week of June 3
News & Updates
Dear CELC families,
It is difficult to believe that there are only 7 days of school left. We plan to soak up as much learning and fun as possible. It is always bitter sweet to promote our Cubs and send them off to first grade. Our TK students are looking forward to a field trip to the SD Zoo on Monday. Thank you to the parents that volunteered to chaperone.
Please make sure you check out the table of books by the office. We replenish the books a few times a week. All books/materials are free! Thank you to the parent volunteers and staff that have been actively helping us go through and organize our book room.
CELC Kindergarten parents, the time has come for K promotions! All CELC ceremonies take place outside in the lunch area. See you this week!

MVLA News and Updates
MVLA families,
Thank you for an amazing school year. The promotions went very well. We are grateful that SHES let us move it inside at the last minute. The last day of homeschool is June 13th. Please turn in plan 18 on or before June 13th. All plans, materials, and Chromebooks are also due at this time. The teachers will be on campus to assist you. Please make sure that your student completes their iReady test that is part of plan 18. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher. Thank you to the parents that sent their students to campus on Wednesday to finish up their CAASPP testing. Your support is very much appreciated.
Please remember that work completion is directly correlated to attendance. Incomplete or missing plan work will result in the team re-evaluating the student's program placement.
AUSD Homework Survey
This year, a District Homework Committee comprised of parents, staff, and students has been meeting to review the current homework policies and practices and collect input from staff, students, and families. The committee has designed homework surveys for staff, parents, and students.
The committee is seeking the input of all AUSD parents in the hopes of gathering a wide range of perspectives and feedback, enabling them to make informed recommendations for improving homework policies and practices.
The survey should take about 10 minutes and can be accessed by clicking here. As always, thank you for your time and continued support of our school.
The survey will be open until Friday, June 9.
