Building School Culture
According to Dr. Kent D. Peterson, a professor in the Department of Educational Administration at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, school culture is "the set of norms, values and beliefs, rituals and ceremonies, symbols and stories that make up the 'persona' of the school." Being intentional is creating and sharing these things helps build a positive school culture.
Take a look at some examples from our region of schools building a positive school culture. Below the examples you'll find some resources containing information about and ideas to build school culture.
