For National Red Ribbon Week, wear all red to show you are drug free and living a healthy lifestyle

Thursday, October 28th - White Out "Spirit" Thursday

It is the scary month of October where goblins, and spirits float around. Show us your inner "spirit and dress in as much white as you can!

Friday, October 29th - Spooky Spiritwear

Wear your spooky Halloween attire, or Halloween colors like orange, black, and purple to celebrate the spirit of the day!

Monday, November 1st - Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead)

Wear your brightest colors to celebrate the tradition!

Bilingual Parent Advisory Council Meeting October 28th, 2021

All multilingual families are invited to attend our first Bilingual Parent Advisory Council meeting of the year, which will be held via Zoom on Thursday, October 28th. At this meeting, you will have an opportunity to learn about bilingual programming and academic support in District 47 and the English language learner identification and assessment process. We will also review the Bilingual Service Plan that is submitted to the Illinois State Board of Education each year.

Session details are as follows:

Presentation #1: 5:30-6:00 pm (content will be delivered in English)

Presentation #2: 6:15-6:45 pm (content will be delivered in Spanish)

Community Harvest- Food Drive

Community Harvest Food Drive

Community Harvest Food Drive

District 47 is proud to support the Crystal Lake Food Pantry and looks forward to participating in the 31st annual Community Harvest Food Drive from October 15-November 25. Last fall, the Crystal Lake community donated over 107,000 pounds of food and over $100,000 during the Community Harvest. See this year’s flyer for most wanted food and household items. Monetary donations are also appreciated; checks can be made payable to the Crystal Lake Food Pantry. Donations will be accepted at all D47 schools, Wehde Early Childhood Center and the CORE Center through Friday, November 12th. D47 schools appreciate any and all donations and are excited to be involved in this annual tradition and important community event!

Beginning Wednesday, Oct. 27-Nov. 15th HBMS will begin our annual food drive classroom competition! The CORE 1 class that collects the most will win a special donut treat/mask break on the playground. The donations will be delivered to the Crystal Lake Food Pantry by our PE classes.

El Distrito 47 se enorgullece de apoyar a la Despensa de alimentos de Crystal Lake y espera participar en la 31ª edición de la Cosecha comunitaria para la colecta de comida de octubre 15-noviembre 25.
