UNICEF x Temple 2014-2015 Board Applications

UNICEF was founded by the United Nations in 1946 to help children in countries devastated by World War II. Now operating in over 190 countries and territories, it has helped save more young lives than any other humanitarian organization.


Interested in becoming part of one of the most recognizable and influential international organizations in the world, saving the lives of millions of children, and making a difference?


We are looking for 2014-2015 board members for our new UNICEF branch here at Temple University. If you are interested, please complete the application, which can be downloaded here, by Friday, November 21st. After reviewing submitted applications, we will contact individuals for interviews.

Shooting Under Fire

Photojournalist Gil Magen-Cohen will be speaking about his work in Israel, specifically "shooting under fire" and how he has worked in conflict situations. Magen has been documenting conflict and daily life in Israel for many years. He will be discussing his experiences in capturing current events and human emotion as well as projects he has partaken in. His work has been featured in several of the world's leading newspapers and magazines.


This event is hosted by Art of Business/Business of Art, Aperture Agency, and Hillel.

George Ciukurescu will be speaking about his musical career as the bassist in Valencia, an alternative band from Philadelphia, and how his experiences producing music, touring, and managing the finances of the band have now influenced his decision to go to school for accounting.
