Where the Adventure Begins...
Happy Friday!
Another wonderful week is in the books! Thanks to our sweet counselor, Orli Mascorro, for organizing such a fun college week for all of us! It was fun to participate in the dress up days with the kids. It's never too early to start talking to our children about college and career choices as they grow older. Instilling in them a belief that they WILL be successful and can become whatever they choose is so important for each of them and their futures. Thanks for participating with us!
Curriculum night was also a huge success! We had almost 50% of our families attend. Our teachers gave presentations on the in's and out's of their classroom and answered parent questions. We hope this time gave you a better feel for how your child is spending their day while with us. If you were not able to attend, all the teachers will be putting their presentations on our website! Once on our website go to Resources, then click Curriculum Night Presentations.
I cannot tell you how much I am enjoying the time I get to spend with your children. Learning their names, giving hugs, sharing laughs, and just spending time together always makes up the very best parts of my week! Thank you for sharing your precious children with us.
Have a wonderful weekend!

What Brings Your Family Joy?!
It's Time for Parent-Teacher Conferences!
Pick-Up Reminders for Cars and Bus!
Bus Pick-up Reminders
As a reminder please be early to the bus pick-up for your location. If you have the need to call the bus transportation dispatch the phone number is 469-633-6155. The bus is scheduled to leave your location at a designated time to pick up other students within the district.
Carpool Pick-Up Reminders
Please be mindful when picking your child up for the AM and PM session. The AM session ends at 10:40 and the PM session ends at 2:40. You precious children are excited to see you again each day at carpool. When students are picked up late it affects other meetings and schedules for teachers. We appreciate your support.
I Want to Hear From You!!
Hey ECS Parents! I have a forum called The ECS Parent Place! I have already had several parents comment or post questions and I have responded to those! I love it!
As your child's principal, I want to make sure I keep open lines of communication with all of you! I'm hoping to hear from more of you so I can know your questions, feedback, and praise. This helps me stay better connected with you and your perspectives. It's also a good place just to see what others are asking in case you have the same question.

Last week I shared multiple opportunities for you to stay involved in your child’s education. Some parents know it’s important, but don’t know why. Others may think teaching is the school’s responsibility and are not interested in getting involved in your child’s school. Regardless of how you look at it, here are the facts:
· Parent involvement improves student academic achievement
· Parent involvement exceeds impact of a child’s level of intelligence
· Students who feel supported will likely experiences less distress
· Students who have involved parents make healthier choices
· Parent involvement helps manage behavior
Ask your child about work she brings home. Ask your child about activities his teacher posts on Seesaw.
When parents choose to stay involved in their child’s school, the child believes he or she has the skills to be successful in school. This positive self-perception along with a great student-teacher relationship plays a significant role in your child’s education and life outside the classroom. At ECS we will continue to help your child learn skills to be great kids!
