System of Inequity Network Series
In our unwavering commitment to fostering inclusive and just educational environments, we believe that it is crucial for educators to come together and delve into the complexities of inequity within our education systems. This network gathering will provide a unique platform for you to engage with experts, share experiences, and explore innovative strategies to dismantle barriers that perpetuate disparities among students. By joining us, you will not only expand your knowledge but also contribute to the collective effort of reshaping the future of education.
Let's collaborate towards a more equitable and empowering educational landscape.
Our objectives in this series are:
To engage in thoughtful study as educators and adult learners as members of our greater Oakland County Schools Communities about alternative academic pathways.
Engage in structured meaning making conversations, with like-minded people, to empower ourselves as adult learners and community leaders, as we strengthen our resolve to commit to change the status quo.
By learning more about structural sources of inequity within our academic systems, we can prepare ourselves to better advocate for improving our systems and processes.
