A Note from Our Principal

Dear North Beach Families:

All of us are looking forward to returning to life as close to normal as possible. There are some hopeful signs on the horizon, but until transmission rates have declined further, that day is not here yet. We receive many questions related to student and staff health and safety. North Beach staff follow SPS protocols to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission. If there are concerns around possible exposure to COVID-19, we communicate with the central district health service team for support to contact families/staff for information on next steps. If quarantine/isolation is recommended, the district support team will provide guidance, and if necessary, notify those affected. Information on the contact tracing process can be found at

Our before school process has gotten much smoother. Because we don’t require as much time to check students in to class, we will be coming outside to open the gates at 7:45 AM before the morning cohort starting Monday, May 3. SPS will also have a transition in district leadership on Monday. Dr. Brent Jones will be assuming the role of Interim Superintendent. We will be hearing from Dr. Jones soon about the direction he will be taking the district in.

Finally, May 3-May 7 is Staff Appreciation Week. One of the reasons I feel so fortunate to be the principal of North Beach is because of the student-focused, collaborative, talented educators we have at school, with an amazing support staff surrounding them. Join me in saying thank you for the wonderful work they do every day!

Have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe and healthy,

Kristine McLane

From the Office

If your student is coming to school in the morning, please do your attestation at 7am or earlier. If you are doing the attestation at 730am it is too late. The student then has to wait while the helper contacts the office to verify they have attested.

Please fill out and return the Consent to Return form if you haven’t already.

Help Support Grocery Outlet! Shop Grocery Outlet!

North Beach Seals,

Your help is needed. A huge supporter of our kiddos here at North Beach, Grocery Outlet, is in trouble. They are a family owned business, not a franchise, but they have been put into the same category as the Fred Meyers and Safeways out there by the City Council, but are not seeing the huge profits that those stores currently enjoy. Folks, GO, has donated to North Beach without fail for years. They have taken care of our families in need. They have donated to local sports teams. They have given selflessly out of the goodness of their hearts. We need to give back. The next time you are headed for the store, please shop at Grocery Outlet. The people there are always so friendly and helpful. They deserve our help.
